Welcome to TEDxSoMa, a unique experience bringing together innovative ideas and people to grow the collective conscience. Our second event, will be on May 21st, 2010. TEDxSoMa events hope to:
- Foster education, innovation and exploration
- Create an interactive experience
- Inspire collaboration and community
Ticket invitations for TEDxSoMa, “Interactivity and the Digital Future” have already been distributed. If you were unable to purchase a ticket, you can watch TEDxSoMa LIVE RIGHT HERE on May 21st, 2010. We will be embedding the live stream on our homepage.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSoMa, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSoMa events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. To learn more about TEDx, please visit ted.com/tedx.

TEDxSoMa aims to bring together leaders in innovation, industry, and other diverse backgrounds that fit the tradition of TED’s core vision: “Ideas worth spreading.” We seek speakers who educate, inspire, and encourage changes in technology, entertainment and design.
TEDxSoMa is currently looking for dynamic and engaging speakers who can “wow” an audience. If you know of anyone who fits this description and can deliver an inspiring talk in less than 10 minutes, please let us know!
