Highlights from TEDxSoMa – January 21, 2010

Mar 29, 2010
TEDxSoMa’s kick-off event themed “Interactivity in Different Realms” on January 22, 2010 brought together thinkers and doers of the San Francisco Bay Area to see the 12 speakers and musical acts to be presented that afternoon. Though only 80 attended on-site, thousands more participated through watching, reading, tweeting, and chatting live during the event.
Each of the 11 speakers was challenged to pare down a core message about interactivity to a mere ten minutes.  With subjects ranging from greening nightclubs to interacting with Star Wars, the talks humored, humbled, and inspired viewers worldwide.  Check them out here: link to video page, maybe 1 video embedded.
WATCHING WORLDWIDE
Throughout the course of event, over 100,000 people saw, heard, or read about the event live through media partnerships with Missing Link, VidSF, Justin.tv, and Stitcher.fm!  In the spirit of interactivity, people tuning in both live and via the web were brought together using Agoroom as their tweets and facebook posts were shown live at the event and online.
